Responsibilities includeD:

  • Managing the international website, relaunched in 2020, including prioritising and managing the web development pipeline, acting as key stakeholder for the SEO strategy and running the global governance structure

  • Management of the UK firm’s e-comms strategy and execution, including supporting the deployment of a new CRM system and new GDPR consent and email automation processes

  • Ownership of the UK social media channels and strategy, including LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram

  • Project lead for the development of the UK firm’s first podcast, and ongoing project stakeholder for subsequent seasons

  • I deployed a new social media strategy across five different subject areas, coordinating social media groups from across the business for each and developing and implementing new best-practice guidelines for the journals division. 

  • I also launched a new social media channel and executed a long-term campaign, including videos and Twitter Q&As, to attract and engage new followers interested in STEM subjects.

Articulate Marketing, Inbound content marketing agency

As the first full-time hire in a rapidly-growing marketing agency, I helped shape the culture and direction of Articulate and supported its growth by developing, for example, campaign streams and project management conventions. As a senior copywriter my core responsibilities included:

  • Writing & editing copy ranging from long from, such as A Dummies' Guide to Website Security for the sponsored Wiley series, to web copy for HP Public Sector and more.

  • Onboarding and managing clients, planning and executing multi-channel lead-capture campaigns for them, and providing analysis and reports.

  • Line managing a team of five writers and training new interns through an induction program I co-designed.

  • In-house content management for two company sites, building traffic on the Articulate blog from 12,000 monthly visits to 40,000.

  • PEGASUS THEATRE: I provided temporary marketing support in March 2017

  • MAD RIVER LTD: I worked on a project for Clipper Teas in 2016, brainstorming copy for free gifts

  • LAUNCHPAD RECRUITS: May - Oct 2012 I initiated an inbound marketing campaign to support the startup’s launch including creating a content calendar, researching & writing blog posts, and developing and implementing a social media strategy

  • THE BRIGHTSIDE: Oct 2010 - June 2013 I created and populated online social media feeds for Rachel Bright (children’s author) and the global Brightside card and gift brand. I also managed a host transfer and shop creation for the Brightside website and developed new ideas for online marketing, including video promotions.
